Welcome back rebels. I’m so excited for today’s episode where we chat about, morning rituals and a morning routine for work & especially how to make it YOURS.
It’s what you need in the morning. It’s what’s going to make you feel better and you take back your day and reality, it doesn’t matter what the fuck you do as long as YOU decide.
Rebelling, as a whole, is no different in the morning.
You need to rebel against everything else, any outside source that is not you in your business.
If you’re rolling over and the first thing you do is grabbing your phone and looking at a social media message, Facebook, an email, a text message…
You’re letting somebody else dictate the beginning of your day.
..You’re not letting yourself breathe.
Take control of your life. Take control of your business.
So I’m going to walk you through the way I form my morning. These are not strict things to do. They are guidelines. I’ve got this toolbox of sorts, these four categories that I choose from every day.

Not theirs. Come along this journey as we grow, scale and dare to prevail. Here we rise, rebelliously. Let's fucking do this. Welcome back rebels. I'm so excited for today's episode because a lot of people talk about morning, routines, morning rituals, all of these things that you can do in the morning, and it's going to make you more successful, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Right? And I'm here to tell you that yeah, they can work. All of them could work in different ways, but it's really about what you fucking make it, right. It's what you need in the morning. It's what's going to make you feel better and you take back your day and reality, it doesn't matter what the fuck you do. As long as you, you dictate what you're doing. Obviously the theme of my entire business, brand and podcast is all about rebelling and it is no different in the morning. You need to rebel against everything else, any outsource that is not you in your business. Right. So if you're rolling over and the first thing you do is grabbing your phone and looking at a social media message, a Facebook, an email, any of these things, a text message. It doesn't matter what it is. You're letting somebody else dictate the beginning of your day. So it's not about doing whatever you want, because what you want to do is look at your phone. Because you're doing something that somebody else decided for you. If you open up your fucking phone and you've got this shitty message from somebody, it could be great message, don't get me wrong, but it could also be crappy or it could be things you got to do. And then you jump up and you start thinking about those things you gotta do. You're not letting yourself breathe. Take control of your life. Take control of your business. You're not in control. Someone else is. So I'm going to walk you through the way I form my morning. It is a guideline. These are not strict thing to do. They are guidelines. I've got this toolbox of sorts, like these four categories that I choose from every day. And that's how I do because sometimes I wake up at 5:00 AM because I just couldn't sleep. And then other days I wake up at 10:00 AM because I hate the mornings. And then sometimes I've got five minutes and then other times I've got two hours and it's never going to be the same we're human beings. We change, we evolve, things happen, right? Sometimes you got to, you're running late and you gotta get your kids to school and all these things. But if you can grab something from these four things, and so a lot of times you can make them overlap, which is pretty awesome. But you're going to just gain back control in your life. If you find yourself ever bitching that you don't have enough time in your day is because you're letting other people start and dictate how it's going to go. So if you can take back the control, the first thing, first thing in the morning, you take back your control. You're going to find a lot more time, a lot more ease a lot more just in the moment in your day. So to get into it. I got four categories that I use as my morning. RICHuals so four 'R's. So it's really easy to remember because they're your rituals. Um, and we've got rise. Reflect Refresh and release. Now, within these categories, there are a bunch of, there's fucking hundreds of things that you can do in each one of these categories. It's really just a matter of what feels good. So as soon as you wake up, the best one to do is to reflect and reflecting means inward. It means looking into yourself and figuring out what the hell you need for that. Okay. So sometimes you need to journal. Sometimes you need to read. Sometimes you need to stretch. Sometimes you need to dance. Sometimes you need to put on lingerie and have a sexy morning. I don't know what it is that you need that day. But the first thing you're going to do is reflect inward, to your self, and definitely not to your phone. Do not let somebody else decide your day. I can not say this enough. So you're going to reflect inward and you're going to pick something you're going to decide what's going to make your day better. And doesn't just mean actually asking herself what it is that you need, it's also reflecting on your day, reflecting on your gratitude, journaling how you feel, how you want to feel. This is important. So you can write down what's in your heart. At that moment, I feel tired and I feel shitty, but then you're going to change the narrative and you're going to say, but today I choose to feel energized and uplifted. And gorgeous and rebellious and in control. And you're going to choose that. And this is all reflecting inward. This is all choosing your day. This is taking it by the fucking balls and grabbing that day and making it yours. Right? So this is all in the reflect category. So this is the inward way. Now the outward is your refresh. So you're refreshing is: inspiration. So inspiration could mean so many different things to different people, to inspiration to some people is reading a self-help book, but to other people it's artwork actually painting a picture or gardening or reading a magazine or a news article or anything that is going to make you feel refreshed and ready for your day, make you feel inspired and inspired action. These are the things that you're going to want to use to refresh. So find your inspiration, find what's going to make you feel ready for your day. Ready to move. Ready to feel refreshed, feel ready for your next day because that's what it is. It's a new day. It's a fresh day for you to control. However you want to control you are in control. So that is what refresh is. Then there is a rise and release. So like I said, a lot of these categories can overlap. You can do three of them within one singular step, right. You can choose one thing to do, and you could probably cover all of these categories. So the next category is rise. Rise literally means rising off your ass. Get the hell off your ass and do something with your body. I do not care what you do. I'm not saying you need to have a 45 to 90 minute workout that busts your ass. No I'm saying you need to move your body. Now that could mean a walk, that can mean stretching. That can mean dancing. That can mean making laps in the backyard. Just move your body. Okay, rise up and move it because the more connected you feel with the body, your body, the more connected you feel with your day. And the only way you're going to be in control is if you realize that it's all one, your body, your mind, your soul, it is all connected. So you need to connect them and then release. So release is actually connected with like your soul. So the categories that I think of when I think of release is things like breathing, breath, work, mirror- work, nature, it's releasing whatever toxins and shitty feelings and crappy things that you may have woken up with or went to sleep with is that is releasing it. And now it doesn't matter what order you do these in, except for, I think reflection should always come first because you actually choose what you're going to do. But let's say you wanted to, you were inspired by nature and you decided to go on a nature- walk, while deep-breathing. You've already covered all the categories. So there's no shitty feeling of like, damn I didn't do my morning rituals today. No, you just covered all of them by doing one single task. And in that you rised, you literally rose and you were able to move your body. Looked outward. And you refreshed your inspiration by actually moving around and going to see outside of your house in nature. And then you released your shit by being in nature and breathing. You've already covered all of these categories. And that is why these categories are so fucking awesome because they're not this strict regimen that you have to follow, where if you don't follow it, you feel like crap. No, it's about putting you first. It's about taking control of your life. It's about not going on your fucking phone. First thing in the morning. I cannot say it enough and I am so guilty of it. Oh my, I would just flip over and grab my phone. I wouldn't, my eyes were barely even open. I don't even know if I had my glasses on. I don't know if I even like truly opened my eyes, like even took a breath and I had a phone in my hand and once in a while I still do it and I don't beat myself if I, if, oh man. I don't beat myself up if I still do it because we're fucking human and it happens. And then, you know what I do, I put it down and I reflect on why I feel the need to do that. And then I start my regimen anyways, by choosing these four categories, by focusing on these four things, you are hitting all of the targets of your, your body, your mind, your soul, and your mission, right? And that is how you're going to take control of your fucking day. That is how you're going to take back your time and your energy. And it's really not that hard. And you're not going to beat yourself up if you didn't do exactly what you needed to do. When you tell yourself that you have to do exactly 30 minutes of meditation and you have to do 30 minutes of working out and you have to do breath work and mirror work, and you have to eat a healthy lunch and you have to do this and this and this and this and this, you're setting yourself up for failure because you're putting too much on yourself, instead of just waking up and telling yourself that you need to reflect inward and see what you need today and make it happen in an aligned ,true way to yourself. You're just setting yourself up for failure. And what's the point of that. You're not your own enemy and there's no reason to be your own enemy. So I want you to take a deep breath and decide what's going to fill those boxes for you. Make yourself a little chart. All of the different things that you could do under each one of these categories. And they could be so many different things, you know, meditation, journaling, um, breath- work, making a mood board, an inspiration mood board, a visual mood board, or a voice over where you're just talking out your feelings. It's what you need that day. And that can all fall under these categories. And then you're going to take back your life and your days, and you're going to feel fucking amazing. All right, guys, I love you. Thank you so much for this listening to this quick episode, take a screenshot of you watching this, post it on Instagram stories, and then tell me what you're going to do for your four morning rituals. And as a reminder, We always reflect, we rise, we refresh and we release. All right, rebels. Thanks for listening to another kick ass episode. If you related to this at all, be sure to share with others so we can rise together.
